IPC Inspire the biggest individual division within IPC, providing magazines, websites and events for an extensive range of specialist interests today announces the appointment of Joanna Pieters to the role of publisher of its equestrian portfolio and Country Life.
Joanna is promoted to the new role from her previous publisher role at IPC Inspire's outdoor & hobbies titles, where she was responsible for Caravan, Motor Caravan, Park Home & Holiday Caravan, Stamp Magazine, Model Collector and Prediction.
Prior to joining IPC Inspire, Joanna was publishing director of Geographical magazine. She has an MBA from Imperial College, London, and was shortlisted for the 2008 PPA Publisher of the Year award.
In her new role Joanna will report to Simon Hare, publishing director of IPC's equestrian titles Horse, Horse & Hound and Eventing and publishing director of Country Life, Jean Christie.
Joanna says: I'm thrilled to be working on brands with such heritage, and which remain so forward-thinking and relevant to their readers.
Jean says: Joanna is a talented and experienced publisher who will make a huge contribution to the exciting plans we have for Country Life.

Joanna takes up her new role with immediate effect.
