NME RADIO LAUNCHES ON FREESAT

NME Radio NME Radio is set to extend its availability via Freesat channel 727.

Freesat – the newly launched subscription-free digital TV service from the BBC and ITV - will include NME Radio from 1st August. The station will be one of the first commercial radio services made available via the platform.

NME Radio can currently be found on Sky, Virgin Media and nmeradio.co.uk.
Further platforms are to be announced shortly, including temporary local FM services and DAB.

Sammy Jacob, managing director of DX Media, says: “We're committed to making NME Radio available on as many platforms as possible. We believe Freesat will become a significant platform, especially as the UK moves closer to total analogue switch-off.”

Digital radio is incredibly important and the addition of a fresh, young station such as NME Radio is yet another example of how we're continually expanding our line-up to offer something for everyone”

NME Radio launched on June 24 with a line up of key presenters including Claire Sturgess, Neil Cole, Iain Baker and Chris Martin. The station features live sessions, music news, interviews, gig and festival guides along with the best indie alternative music. NME Radio is an essential listen for any fan of cutting-edge music.
